Skiing & Snowboarding

Winter dreams come true in the Zillertal's First Holiday Region

As winter approaches, there is only one motto in the Zillertal: head up to the mountains and into the snow-covered world of slopes! Around Stumm, access to several ski areas is possible, and these ski areas will impress you with their endless variety of ski runs.

Hochfügen-Hochzillertal ski area

Access to the Zillertal's winter sports world is possible in nearby Kaltenbach. At the valley station, the Hochzillertal lifts will take you up to an elevation of over 2,000 m! 89 km of ski runs in a variety of difficulty levels will take you back down into the valley. Along the way, you will come across many refreshment opportunities such as the Kristallhütte, the Betterpark for snowboarders, the freeriding areas, and a great children's park.

Zillertal Arena

The Zillertal Arena is the largest ski area in our valley with 143 km of ski slopes. There are a variety of access points for this area - for example via Zell am Ziller, which is 8 km to the south. Awaiting you on the mountain is Austria's longest valley run with 1,930 vertical meters, excellent ski runs, and many other highlights.

Enjoyable skiing on the Spieljoch

Ski areas do not have to be gigantic in size to provide first-class winter enjoyment. The Spieljoch in Fügen demonstrates this with 21 km of ski runs and the 7 km long valley run to Fügen! Of course, there are also many places to stop for refreshments such as the Kohleralm or the Sonnberg mountain restaurant.
