Zillertal's hiking world

When the Alpine sun radiantly shines on the mountains, the air is fresh and pure, and the meadows are covered in a lush green, then it is time to explore the natural splendor of the Zillertal with your own two feet! Our vacation region offers almost endless possibilities for hikes - from easy excursions in the valley to hut hikes up in the mountains.

Around Stumm

The Bonholz loop trail is a leisurely walk that will allow you to explore the valley around Stumm. On the 4 km long path, you will hike past meadows, fields, and the Bonholz farmhouse. Along the way, Gasthof Rissbacher is an ideal stop to enjoy refreshments. You should plan for an hour and a half for this easy tour.

Hikes for mountain lovers

Would you like to head higher up in the mountains? The hike to the Almluft snack station is best suited for aspiring mountain experts. In other words: here, the whole family can enjoy hiking, and there are sections that are not too strenuous. This hiking path leads past the historically protected St. Anthony Chapel (Antoniuskapelle) along the hillside above the Märzenbach, and the last section leads through a forest area until you reach the snack station, where delicious snacks and refreshing drinks are awaiting you. You should plan for around 2 hours for this 8 km hike.
